Te Kauhau Ora o MUMA

We will uphold the mana of MUMA by ensuring the needs and aspirations of whānau are at the core of everything we do.

Whanaungatanga

Tuia te rangi e tū iho nei, tuia te papa e takoto nei - we build and maintain positive relationships

Tautoko

Hinga atu he tete kura, ara mai he tete kura - we support and encourage whānau to realise their full potential 

Wairuatanga

Rimu rimu, rere ana, korowai aroha e - We act in the spirit of our ancestors and guide our future generations

Kawa

Rārangi maunga, tu tonu. Rāranga tangata, ngaro noa, ngaro noa - we uphold the kaupapa that MUMA was gounded on and conscientiously perpetuate its values, vision and standrds

Whakapapa

Piki atu ki te taumata o toku maunga, ka kite au i te mana, i te ihi o te whenua nei, ō ōku tīpuna - we remember those that came before, are with us now, and will grow from us

Pōhiri

Kei te haereere a `Hine-pūkohu-rangi, me tona kete whaowhao rangi - we embrace and welcome all people

Manaakitanga

Titiro kau ana ko ngā pari pōhatu e whakaata atu nei i ngā tīpuna - we care for each person as we would in our own homes

Aroha

Aroha mai, aroha atu - we are empathetic, compassionate and have regard for all

Te Reo Māori

Kimihia te kahurangi; ki te piko tōu matenga, ki te maunga teitei - we actively practice Te Reo Māori and Tikanga

Kotahitanga

He kākano i ruia mai i Rangiātea - altough much may be lost, the seeds of Raniātea will remain
