After watching a media story in the last 48 hours reporting whānau sleeping overnight outside an Auckland Marae for food parcels and toys, Ngā Whare Waatea in Mangere has received an extraordinary and unforeseen gift out of the blue.

Manukau Urban Māori Authority (MUMA) is partnering with the Electricity Retailers' Association of New Zealand to hold an ‘EnergyMate’ hui at Nga Whare Waatea Marae at 10am. It's not too late to come along whānau.

The only Maori radio station in Tamaki Makaurau that provides a bi-lingual broadcast, enhancing Te Reo Maori me ona Tikanga for an Urban Maori and non Maori audience.

Nga Whare Waatea Limited will be a registered housing provider established to  provide affordable, quality housing for urban Maori.
