ACC Support

Need a Hand with ACC?

At some point, we all take a tumble — whether it’s at mahi, on the sports field, or chasing the mokopuna around the whare. That’s where ACC comes in. And here in South Auckland, you’ve got someone local to help you figure it all out — your very own ACC Aunty, based at MUMA.

What’s the ACC Aunty Service?

The ACC Aunty, our ever-straight-up Rosemma, is your go-to for understanding what support ACC can offer and how to access it. She’s here to awhi you and your whānau through the whole process — whether you’re making a new claim, trying to understand a letter, or getting help with a review.

ACC can support you with:

  • Medical treatment and physio

  • Rongoā Māori (e.g. mirimiri and romiromi)

  • Counselling and mental health support

  • Help at home while you recover

  • Advocacy if your claim is declined

  • Getting back to mahi, safely and confidently

And yes — even your Nan, Koro, or rangatahi can get help.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s what your ACC Aunty is for. She’ll:

  • Break down the jargon

  • Help you apply for the right support

  • Connect you with kaupapa Māori providers

  • Walk with you into meetings if you need tautoko

  • Make sure you’re not facing anything alone

Get in Touch

You can find your ACC Aunty at Ngā Whare Waatea Marae — or simply pick up the phone and call 0800 866 862. Drop by for a cuppa, bring your letter, your questions, or just your sore leg — she’ll sort it.
