At MUMA, we believe everyone deserves the chance to build a good life for themselves and their whānau — and for a lot of people, that starts with mahi. MUMA Mahi is our employment service, here to walk alongside you as you find your way into work that fits, and stays.
Whether you're just starting out, coming back after time away from the workforce, or looking for something better suited to your skills — we're here to help. This isn't a one-size-fits-all job search. It's practical, whānau-centred support that meets you where you're at.
Here's how we walk alongside you:
Pathways to Work — We'll help you build the confidence, skills, and plan you need for your next step. That means a CV that actually shows your strengths, interview coaching, work-ready skills, and support to work through whatever's been standing in your way. We'll also help connect the dots with budgeting and driver licensing, because we know those things matter too.
Jobseeker Support — We connect you with employers and opportunities that match your skills. One-to-one job coaching, job matching, and genuine connections with local employers — because we know the businesses in our community, and we work hard to open doors into meaningful, sustainable work.
Pastoral Care — Getting the job is just the beginning. Our support continues for up to six months after you start — regular check-ins, help managing challenges early, and referrals into other MUMA services like Whānau Ora when you need a bit more in your corner.
We know that finding work isn't just about a CV — it's about whānau, confidence, and having someone in your corner. That's what MUMA Mahi is here for.
