He Poutama Rangatahi – Supporting Our Urban Rangatahi into Work and Beyond
At MUMA, we don’t just run programmes — we grow futures. And when our rangatahi walk through the doors, they’re not just participants — they become part of our whānau.
Through He Poutama Rangatahi, we’re supporting young people aged 18 to 24 who are not in work, education or training to gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to step into employment or further training. This is a first for the initiative — a dedicated programme designed specifically for urban Māori rangatahi in South Auckland.
Backed by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), our kaupapa is about more than CVs and job interviews. We focus on mindset, motivation, and real-life change — helping rangatahi believe in themselves, show up strong, and move forward on a pathway that’s right for them.
The programme is flexible, engaging, and built around the needs of each young person. Whether it’s preparing for mahi, enrolling in training, or figuring out the next step — we’re here for it, and we’re here for them.
Know someone aged 18–24 who’s ready for a fresh start?
Get in touch with our team — and let’s build that pathway together.
